ICC U-19 World Cup: Prithvi Shaw and India have eyes set on winning trophy

first_imgThe U-19 cricket team of India is currently in New Zealand ready to play the U-19 Cricket World Cup .Under the captaincy of Prithvi Shaw, India have to play Australia, Zimbabwe and East Asia Pacific qualifier Papua New Guinea in the group stages.Prithvi said on Sunday that under the guidance of the Wall Rahul Dravid, India are well prepared for the tournament.”We’ve been here a week now, played a couple of games. Everything has gone well, the preparation of the team has been good,” Shaw said.He further went on to add that their goal is to win but they are focussing on the process at the moment.”Our goal is obviously to win the World Cup but at the same time we are looking forward to our first game, and let’s see how the process goes.”India have won the tournament most number of times along with the Aussies.The three-time champions will open their campaign against Australia on January 14 in Christchurch. They will next face Papua New Guinea on January 16 and Zimbabwe on January 19.
