Fantasy Injury Updates: Is Doug Baldwin playing Monday night? (Updated)

first_imgIn the event that Baldwin can’t go tonight and fantasy owners need a last-minute replacement, the top option on Seattle to see more targets would be the aforementioned Moore. The former seventh-round pick has been streaky this year, and his most recent two games were demonstrative of that. Against the Panthers in Week 12, he had over 100 receiving yards and a TD. And last week against the 49ers? He put up a goose egg on one target. Moore would be a risk, but he has upside, as he should realistically see an increase in volume if Baldwin is out.On the other side of the ball, the Vikings receivers offer a bit less upside, as Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen absorb most of the targets for that offense. Still, if you’re desperate for a Baldwin replacement, Aldrick Robinson is coming off a nine-target game against the Patriots. If the Vikings find themselves playing from behind, Robinson could see more targets. So, he may be a solid desperation play, especially since he has logged four TDs in limited action this year.As the day goes on, we’ll continue to keep you updated on all the latest Baldwin related news. Keep checking back for those updates throughout the day as they happen. Needless to say, Doug Baldwin has had an injury-plagued season. Throughout the year, he has dealt with injuries to both knees, and now he finds himself dealing with a hip injury that may sideline him for Monday Night Football. Baldwin is questionable for the Vikings-Seahawks game, and Baldwin’s fantasy owners may be sweating out a potentially tough start ’em, sit ’em decision if Baldwin is in fact out, as they’ll likely have to add another player from the waiver wire to replace him. Because of this, fantasy football owners — and Baldwin owners specifically — will once again be looking for updates until the official MNF active/inactive report is released roughly 90 minutes before the game.Throughout the day, we’ll provide you with the latest news on Baldwin’s status and whether he will play. For more on injuries to Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny, go here. Check back in the lead-up to kickoff to get an official answer. Week 15 Rankings:Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST  | KickerIs Doug Baldwin playing Monday night?UPDATE: Baldwin is officially OUT.Baldwin is officially considered “questionable” for this contest, and it’s unclear whether or not he will suit up. However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Baldwin isn’t expected to play, but he will still test things out before the game. So, it looks like Baldwin is truly a game-time decision, so fantasy owners won’t know until the actives/inactives report is listed 90 minutes before kickoff. That said, the outlook for Baldwin still isn’t that good. Even if he does get on the field, he could be used primarily as a decoy to take away some coverage from Tyler Lockett and David Moore. Plus, Baldwin has been an up-and-down performer as of late, logging no more than 52 yards in any of his past four games. He is too TD-dependent to trust on a balky hip.MORE WEEK 15: Waiver wire pickups | RB handcuff chartlast_img read more
