Rich Robinson To Play Three Shows With Fellow Former Black Crowes In Woodstock

first_imgGuitarist Rich Robinson has announced a series of performances at Applehead Recording & Production Studios in Woodstock, NY on August 19th-21st as part of the venue’s Woodstock Sessions concert series. Billed as Rich Robinson & Friends, Rich will be joined by fellow former Black Crowes members Marc Ford and Sven Pipien, as well as more special guests to be announced soon. Applehead Studios, located within a 17-acre farm in the upstate NY town, will provide an intimate setting for the shows, with attendees promised seated close to the band, in-show dinner service, and actual interaction with Robinson during the performance. The August 21 date will also include a seminar moderated by guitarist/journalist Andy Aledort of Guitar World. And if all that’s not enough, each attendee will receive a 180 gram audiophile-level vinyl pressing of the eventual Woodstock Sessions release, as well as event t-shirts, posters, and access to all digital media produced during the day’s festivities. Golfers Jostle for Lakowe 2018 Club Championship

first_imgMembers of Lakowe Lakes Golf Course are set to battle for the 2018 Club Championship in a 36 holes contest on the 1st and 2nd December at the picturesque course in Lagos.The event that was won last year by Tunji Adebajo and Georgia Oboh in both male and female categories respectively, will now feature a lot more contenders when it tees-off. first_imgTwo thirds of UK consumers would like the TV to be at the centre of their smart home network, according to research into the appeal of the smart home carried out by GfK. According to the research, 67% of respondents want the TV to be at the centre of a home network, acting as an information hub and receiving content from other including readings smart meters and healthcare information as well as entertainment content.The research found that 38% of respondents would be willing to pay for this functionality.Overall, respondents expressed an interest n smart home functionality but were less willing to pay for this functionality, with 35% saying they would be willng to pay to make their home smarter. In general, the age group least likely to own their home – 18-34 year-olds – were most willing to pay to make them smarter, at 49%, while only a fifth of over 54s – those most likely to own their homes – would be willing to pay.While 84% were enthused by energy meters connected to the natonal grid to help control costs, only 28% were willing to pay for this. A higher proportion were willing to pay for a ‘remote controlled home’, with 67% being attracted to this functionality and 51% being willing to pay.Sixty-four per cent of respondents were attracted to home health monitoring, with 39% willing to pay.last_img read more
