Southwestern at South Ripley-7th Grade. The Raiders overcame a sluggish start to post a 50-25 victory.Lane Sparks led all scorers with 26 points, while Cody Samples added 8, Brady Linkel 6, Bryce Franklin 4, Kaden Rinear 4, and Dillion Binion 2. The 7th graders now boast a 14-1 record.8th Grade. The Raiders broke open a close game at halftime with 15 third quarter points in route to a 41-24 win.Eric Vickers led the way with 11 points and 7 rebounds, Aaron Greiwe scored 9 points with 4 steals, Dakota Day posted 8 points and 7 rebounds, Kaleb Rinear added 6 points and a team high 8 rebounds; Jon Adkins 3 points and 4 steals; Sam Evans 2 points and 5 steals; Eric Myers and Connor McCarty both scored one point; Jacob Elliott, Peyton Owens, and Dalton Downey didn’t score but each contributed 3 steals. The 8th graders improve to 11-4 on the year.Both teams will next play on Monday, January 18th at South Ripley vs. the Milan Indians in game one of the season-ending SEI junior high tournament.
