Mbabazi throws in towel at Mbarara City FC

(PHOTOSlAGENCIES)KAMPALA – Livingstone Mbabazi has stepped down as Mbarara City FC head coach, less than a month after the close of the 2018/19 StarTimes Uganda Premier League.Mbabazi who led the Ankole Lions to a 5th place finish last season, their best in ages, handed in his resignation addressed to the club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).“Mbarara City Football club has offered me both an entertaining and challenging football season at all fronts which has enabled me to further perk up my profession as a football coach. It’s a trying moment though to tender in my resignation as head coach of Mbarara City Football Club with effect from today 29th May, 2019. Read the latter.“I wish to appreciate the technical staff, management, players and with great pleasure the fans of Mbarara City Football Club.“I wish Mbarara City Football Club a continued success in its football endeavors.Mbabazi who is currently with the Uganda Cranes team taking part in the 2019 COSAFA Cup in South Africa, is understood to have resigned due to what he terms as ‘improper working conditions’.As narrated to Football-256.com, Mbabazi claims that he is leaving Mbarara because he can no longer work in an un conducive working environment.Mbabazi’s resignation coincidentally comes less than 24 hours after Wakiso Giants parted ways with head coach Ibrahim Kirya.
